ITSA Theatre Company presents...

The Improvised Panto

Featuring a star studded cast with Laura O' Mahony, Bernard Casey, Laura Harte, Cornelius Patrick O' Sullivan & Dominic McHale

It’s a different panto every night!

The Improvised Panto gang are ecstatic to announce a brief and explosive return to the stage this for two nights this December at LIVE AT ST LUKES.

After a disappointing pandemic themed hiatus in 2020, the much-loved Improv Panto is back for more chaos, more craic, and more laughter.

Practical and logistical reasons meant a return to their usual Cork Opera House late night stage wasn’t an option this year, but the gang are more than delighted to take to the stage Live at St Lukes for two nights only at the new start times of 6.30pm and 8.45pm.

Some of Cork’s funniest and talented improvisers will present a different pantomime each show, based on the audience’s choice. It’s all improvised, nothing is scripted. The audience choose what panto they’d like to see, and who plays what character. Expect the unexpected, the hilarious and the outrageous as the actors weave their way through classic fairy tales without so much as a trail of breadcrumbs to guide them wherever the audience wants them to go.

So if you’re tired of Sleeping Beauty, sick of Snow White, and all Aladdin’ed out, and fancy a twist on these well-known classics then this is the show for you!

With live music thrown into the mix, not only will the actors have to come up with the script, they will also have to improvise up a few lyrics. What will they be singing about?

Not even the actors have a clue! Many of the cast members are well known to Cork audiences - Dominic MacHale plays Sergeant Healy in the biggest TV hit in recent years The Young Offenders and is looking

forward to reprieving his many and varied roles within The Improv Panto nightly.

Bernard Casey aka The Local Gossip and Laura O'Mahony, busy juggling her comedy commitments, motherhood and her morning stints on radio!

The Improvised Panto is fast becoming an annual tradition with many partygoers looking for a fun, enjoyable, outrageous night out. So, don’t miss a whole new world of panto where anything is possible. Including spontaneous bouts of singing, dancing, laughing, crying and the telling of outrageous lies. No rules, no writing, just rollicking bouts of laughter and rib-tickling ridiculousness. A huge hit with Christmas and Office Parties. This is truly Panto as you’ve never seen it before…

“If you want a night out that will have you laughing til you cry, this is it.” The Cork Independent
