Liam O'Maonlai performed together with HOT HOUSE FLOWERS during the Tracton Arts Festival 2018. We are delighted that he is returning back to Minane Bridge to play at this year's TRACTON MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL.

Liam O'Maonlai is best known as a founder member of Hothouse Flowers. Their first album "People", released in 1988, was the most successful debut in the history of Irish music. With some breaks and changes in personnel, the band is still performing after 30 years, although members have also pursued solo projects. In 2008 O'Maonlai travelled with Paddy Keenan across 3,000 miles of Sub-Saharan Africa to play in the Festival au Desert, an adventure that was recorded in the documentary "Dambe : The Mali Project". A fluent Irish speaker and accomplished bodhran player,O'Maonlai is known for composing and performing in the Irish language as well as his more mainstream work in the folk/rock genre. His solo appearance at the Inkwell on 4th July should once again prove that there is absolutely nothing like live music!
